MLB Outfielder Maybin’s DUI

Maybin began crying when arrested.  Apparently no one told Maybin the police are not concerned with his feelings or the effects on his life of a DUI arrest.  The police are not your friends.  You do not want to lie to the police.  Tell them “I want a lawyer.”  And then be quiet.  The only thing that you can say that will not hurt you is “I want a lawyer.”

Woodstock Traffic Ticket Lawyer: Stitches (born 6.17.1995), also known as Phillip Nickolas Katsabanis, is a Miami hip hop recording star.  Stitches’ best known song is Brick In Yo Face; his first album was titled For Drug Dealers Only.  Stitches‘ debut mixtape was titled No Snitching is My Statement.

Woodstock Traffic Ticket Lawyer: Stitches is of Greek and Cuban parentage.  Stitches sold drugs during his teen years to support himself.  He has had numerous financial problems.  On January 25, 2017 Stitches was arrested for parking his car in a handicapped spot at Whole Foods.  Stitches apparently handed police a marijuana cigarette while still seated in his vehicle.  Police then searched his vehicle locating a Glock pistol, two loaded magazines and a mason jar filled with marijuana.  The police officers remembered Stitches from an earlier arrest and his PorscheStitches backing out of a handicapped spot gave them reasonable suspicion to stop him and see what charges they could bring.

Woodstock Traffic Ticket Lawyer: Apparently Stitches had not seen my FREE App setting out how to deal with police encounters.  Stitches did not avail himself of his constitutional right not to incriminate himself by talking to police.  He also failed to restrain himself from giving contraband to police thus admitting possession and control of such contraband.  Stitches also did not understand that consenting to searches is not required and is a very bad idea.  See Bob’s video on consenting to searches.
